Praise the Maize

  • The fifth day of the Maizious festival

    Give thanks for the bountiful beer."

    Light all five candles.

    On the final night with all the candles lit, eat a glorious plate of nachos and drink refreshing beer. Some even choose to celebrate with a party to ring in a wondrous new year of Nachos!

  • The fourth day of the Maizious festival

    "Pour'em the Salsa
    Give thanks for the spicy salsa"

    Light four candles.

    Have a beer.

  • The third day of the Maizious festival

    "The Epiphany of the Pickled Pepper
    Give thanks for the perfect pickled pepper"

    Light three candles.

    Have a beer.

  • The second day of the Maizious festival

    "What a friend we have in cheeses.
    Give thanks for the creamy cheese."

    Tonight light two candles using the previous night's candle to light the new one.

    Have a beer.

  • The first day of the Maizious festival

    Maize, Maize, and more Maize.

    Give thanks for the crunchy corn chip."

    On the first day, bake a pan of cornbread. Nothing too fancy as Maizious was a down to earth kind of god.

    Maybe some jiffy box mix in a disposal tinfoil pan.

    You will need 5 candles. Again, any ones that you have around the house will do. Except scented ones as Maizious thinks they are too frilly.
